Togaed statue from the Roman theatre of Tarragona. It is probably of the emperor Augustus and would have presided over the “scaenae frons” iconographic and iconic programme. It is a monumental image some three metres high made of different blocks of marble held together with metal staples. The piece preserves the remains of red polychrome in the folds of the toga.
