Tom Caulker : Honorary Doctorate Speech

Tom Caulker from WHQ Club gives an inspirational speech, even going as far as setting 'homework' for the assembled crowd, upon being awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law by Newcastle University back in 2017. This was the same honor the University awarded to Dr Martin Luther King Jr. in 1967. Exactly 50 years later to the day, Tom was given this same award, as recognition of his work with WHQ, in promoting multiculturalism & equality & his positive influence on generations of young people in the North East. Other recipients of awards that day included South African anti-apartheid champion Archie Sibeko, the celebrated author Malorie Blackman & past USA congressman & civil rights activist Andrew J.
