Intaglio engraving made in Lima by Fray Miguel Adame, engraver and painter of Spanish origin, printed in the book Royal Parenting to the Sovereign Name and Immortal Memory of the Catholic King of Spain and Emperor of the Indies, the Serene Lord Don Carlos II.
The architectural design of the tumulus was commissioned in 1700 by the Mercedarian friar Cristóbal Caballero, built in the Cathedral of Lima to honor the memory of Charles II.
In the print you can see the title, authors and scale measurement of the monument on the lower edge. It is made up of three bodies with several columns. A royal shield of Spain appears, the royal crown on two worlds, at the bottom two children, on their sides four sculptures that symbolize the four continents. The dome is topped by a phoenix flapping its wings over the fire.
