Kong is known for his realistic painting techniques in rendering Hong Kong scenes, typified by fine brushwork, architectural accuracy and photo-like compositions.   • Artist's Biography: Kong graduated from the Hong Kong Academy of Fine Arts in 1954 and worked as an art teacher and practicing artist since. He taught at the Hong Kong Academy of Fine Arts, Ling Hai Academy of Art, the First Institute of Art and Design, the Department of Extramural Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Polytechnic. He was the founder of the Hong Kong Outdoor Drawing Club. Kong has over 30 publications to his credit, including Hong Kong Historic Landmarks, Landmarks of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Sketch Book and The World of Kong Kai Ming. He also writes arts reviews in local newspapers and magazines. In recent years, he has become an advocate of the theory that "Art is Spiritual", which he applies in his study of art.
