There is no inscription on the object, but from the hallmark it is obvious that it was made by János Mihály Müller, a reputable silversmith in Pest. From the archive of the community we know that a certain M. Blau was sentenced for a quarrel and for insulting the court, and his penalty was to acquire a silver Torah ornament of a certain weight for the community. Since in this case the ritual object was not intended to preserve the memory of the purchaser or of his family, the verdict particularly forbade to place any inscription on the object. On the usual place of the inscription, on the bottom of the gird of the crown, there is a row of palm leaves within a double string of beads to remind us of the coarse verdict of the Jewish court of Óbuda.
