A special and rare solution of decorating the Torah scroll is the combination of Torah finials with a Torah crown. In the case of this item, the oval base is made of silver, and it is combined with two tall finials that can be placed on the Torah staves. The two towers of the rimon pair are decorated with thirteen little bells each, divided in three levels. These bells jingle whenever the Torah scroll is moved, thus elevating the festive mood. It is typical of ritual objects of every religion to contain crowns that resemble the crowns of contemporary sovereigns. The crowns on top of this rimon pair were made after the Austro-Hungarian royal crown, with the double-headed eagle on top.
