The Bratislava-Ortelec based members of the Jewish Becker family were prominent goldsmith masters who, in addition to the everyday objects made of silver, also made Torah jewelry in order to decorate the Torah scrolls of the neighboring Jewish communities. Fridericus Becker Sr. made the Torah finials for the Óbuda community, which was commissioned by the senior caretakers of the ‘Bikur Cholim Society’ of Óbuda.
