Torcs from Sagrajas Hoard

Torcs (rigid necklaces) and bracelets, often with incised geometric motifs, are the most typical examples of Sagrajas-Berzocana goldsmithing, which takes its name from these two finds. These pieces are solid and quite heavy, as was typical in western Iberia, and are frequently found buried in uninhabited areas or beside travel routes: the Sagrajas Hoard next to a ford across the River Guadiana, and the Berzocana Hoard in a mountain pass.
