Carthaginian tower

In the northwest edge of the plateau a large tower built around the third century BC is located, most likely by the Carthaginian army after the conquest of the city, and is not just a defensive construction, it is also a symbolic element that represents power of Carthage in the area. Archaeological findings in the area demonstrate the importance and sacred symbolism of the place from earlier times and even after the Roman conquest, when it seems that a temple is built on it.
