Torso I

Aluminium was a favourite material for Alex Mylona, with which she created a series of artworks. In 1968, in one of her early attempts to render female and male torsos, she created torsos with aluminium sheets, which she placed on wooden bases. The abstract compositions are characterized by curved lines, which form and shape the gender of the figure.
