Toucan

For his 2013 visit to Nuart, the Norwegian street artist Martin Whatson contributed several of his colourful takes on graffiti motifs. The toucan and branch it sits on are created with multiple stencilled layers, while the abstract graffiti adorning its beak has been done by freehand.

Whatson has created a career in urban art by mixing the classical and natural with urban graffiti aesthetics. His vibrant abstract graffiti artfully covering famous works of art or subjects from the animal kingdom can be seen in galleries and on the street worldwide.
