Smyrna towel to cover the challah, braided bread prepared especially for Shabbat and other Jewish festivals, except the Passover feast. It belonged to the donor's mother, Esther Ascher Reichhardt.
Square silk towel in shades of burgundy, inscriptions in Hebrew, images of animals, mennorah and villages in the center and edges with lace with floral motifs.
