Richard Anderson invented a three-dimensional drawing toy and patented it in 1991. He licensed the product to toy manufacturer Tyco for a three-year period. An advantage, besides a third dimension, over a traditional Etch-A-Sketch is a switch, which will turn off the line when a drawing is finished. The toy sold well and many adults remember it fondly.
