In the 1950s a simple mechanical cardboard toy could provide hours of fun with the turn of a knob. A cardboard frame surrounds a central "screen," no doubt designed to resemble an early television set. A child could choose from many different sets of features on one of four different face outlines. The toy presented a very simple mechanism that worked to provide amusing entertainment.
