"Fordson" tractor manufactured in Cork (Ireland). The entire vehicle, including the wheels, is made of iron. The rear wheels are particularly large and have diagonal cleats.
According to the website of the Henry Ford Museum, the Fordson, first manufactured in 1917 by Henry Ford & Son, Inc., was the first lightweight, mass-produced tractor that was affordable to the average farmer. Mechanisation came late to rural areas of the Atlantic Basque Country, since farms were small and the terrain steep, making any investment unprofitable.
