Murali Cheeroth is a visual and performance artist and educator. He completed his bachelor's and Master's in Fine Arts from Santiniketan. He won several awards and scholarships and, over the years, has exhibited over 100 significant shows across the globe. He worked extensively in printmaking and theatre and now primarily works in paintings, videos, and performances.

His visual works contain a range of cultural references and a deep conversation with the history of representation in visual media, fine art, cinema, music, and architecture.
