Transition to manhood

Celebrating the conclusion of the Eunoto ceremony (transition to manhood), the Moran (warrior) dance and joke as the tension fades. Judged by their elders, they now prepare for the next phase of the Maasai life cycle, the elevation to senior Moran (warrior) or junior elders. Kenya’s renowned photojournalist Mohamed (Mo) Amin, also known as ‘Six Camera Mo’, produced a comprehensive pictorial record of these remarkable people entitled “The Last of the Maasai”.
