Transporte Ferroviário (Travelling Post Office Service)

In the 1940s, Maria Keil produced a number of panels on the theme of the carriage of mail to decorate the public area of the Funchal Central Post Office. This artwork is part of this group, originally forming a single composition with “Serviço Telefónico e Telegráfico” which was later separated. In 1960 the paintings were removed during the refurbishment of the building and incorporated into the art collection of the CTT Museum.
