"Trasparente" with Scene from the Passion of Christ

This Transparent from the Holy Week Processions of Mendrisio, attributed to Giovan Battista Bagutti and dating to around 1791, depicts a scene from the Passion of Christ. It illustrates the Gospel episodes in which the Roman soldiers divide Jesus' garments among themselves and offer him gall to drink, evoking one of the most poignant moments of the Crucifixion.
