Tray for glasses

A tray for glasses, used as a tray to hold the jug alongside the glasses. This piece was made in Talavera de la Reina, with the central receptacle featuring the Inquisition’s coat of arms in blue. The shield consists of a cross flanked by a sword, symbolizing the treatment of those considered heretics, and a laurel branch, representing reconciliation with the repentant. The composition is completed with an inscription, in the same tone as the shield, placed along the edges of the square: 'EL CANÓNIGO PEDRO SÁNCHEZ DEL LUNAR,' possibly indicating the owner of the piece..
