This was the first ever exhibition dedicated to the private collections of the Talpur families, a confederation of Baloch chieftains who ruled Sindh when the British took control in 1843. The collections drawn from the Talpur courts a Khairpur, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas were selected by curators Hamid Akhund and Nasreen Askari to include over a hundred magnificent objects ranging from arms and armour to costumes and textiles, jewellery, coins, manuscripts, furniture and decorative objects.
