Small pine trees with bamboo supports to prevent damage to the trees from weight of snow in winter, Mt. Myoko village apartment block. Myoko kogen (Myoko plateau) is one of the best skiing areas in Japan. The area is part of Japan's yukiguni (Snow country) which experiences snows several meters deep in winter.
