The iconic door of the techno club Tresor is a witness of 120 years of city history. It was installed at the beginning of the 20th century as a safe door of the Wertheim department store bank. After the destruction of the building in the Second World War, it survived the eventful decades of the division of the city in the Tresorkeller. For the discoverers of the vault around Dimitri Hegemann, it was clear that the door should become part of the club, which opened in 1991. Thus, the Tresor door became one of the trademarks of one of the most famous techno clubs and saw guests from all over the world coming in and out. In 2021, the door will now be part of the Berlin exhibition BERLIN GLOBAL at the Humboldt Forum, where it will once again connect Berlin and the world.
