Master muralist Michael Webb has woven together historical figures, elements of blueprints and architectural images to create a tribute to noted Philadelphia architect Julian Abele.
Julian Abele was the first African-American student to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Architecture. He enjoyed an illustrious career with a prominent Philadelphia firm, and many of the buildings that bear his stamp - including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Free Library - have become American landmarks.
