Triceratops horridus

Triceratops means "three-horned face". It is one of the few ceratopsians that does not have windows in the neck frill, at the back of the skull, to make it lighter. The length of the horns and the shape of the frill vary so much from one specimen to another that some skulls have been wrongly attributed to other species!
