"Triforium" is a 60-foot by 20-foot 60-ton concrete polyphonoptic kinetic tower sculpture located in Fletcher Bowron Square adjacent to the Los Angeles Mall in downtown Los Angeles, California, United States.
Joseph L. Young's mammoth sculpture originally included lighted Venetian glass prisms, a reflecting pool, and a 79-note glass bell Finkelbeiner Carillon, all designed for programmed and synchronized music and lighting programs.. The carillon had two octaves of English bells and two octaves of Flemish bells, and had a separate control room.
History: The original reflecting pool was removed and the carillon was disconnected in a 2006 restoration of the sound system that replaced it with a Compact Disc player. A renovation of various electronic components was begun in 2016.
