Triptych with Passion scenes

This triptych was located in the predella of Altarpiece of the altar of San Silvestre , with the representation of the Holy Supper on the front, and The Lavatory and The Prayer in the Garden on the sides.
In the scene of The Prayer in the Garden, the composition is centred by the figure of Christ on his knees, praying while an angel appears to him holding the chalice. His disciples are asleep on the left side of the composition. Through the landscape the artist constructs a perspectival space, a characteristic aspect of the Renaissance style.
