In the first post-war period, it was a common phenomenon to erect triumphal arches during important and solemn events (the arrival of the International Boundary Commission, elections, rallies etc.). This phenomenon has been known since Antiquity and is also used in folk customs (weddings, conscription etc.).
Post-war triumphal arches had trunks as their frame, were wrapped in ivy, juniper etc. and decorated with inscriptions (slogans or facts). In the first period they were most often shaped as Mount Triglav and adorned with the symbols of the time.
