Trumpet

Trumpet, conch shell fitted with a brass decorative mount; the decorative area has an image of dragon in relief and is edged with turquoise, red and green glass, the red glass is used to imitate coral; this would have been used during religious ceremonies, possibly to call people to prayer. Made in Tibet, Qing period, 19th century.
