Tsunami-devastated seashore

Stereo microphones and cameras installed in the facilities of the Atmosphere and Ocean Research Center of the University of Tokyo (Otsuchi-Town, Iwate Prefecture), which was hit by the tsunami in 2011. Hourai Island, popularly known as Hyokkori Hyotanjima, is right in front of us and the camera records the recovery process. The sound of seabirds and Schlegel's green tree frogs ( Rhacophorus schlegelii ) can be heard mixing with the sound of the waves.
