Tsvimborume (a Shona word which roughly translates to ‘a very old man’). Tanaka learnt how to play this traditional song when she was 12. She
played it in her marimba band, which she was the captain of. This song talks about how old men
fight each other, and it is a call to go to battle. It was one of the songs that were performed during
the Zimbabwean liberation struggle.
