Appeared in the 17th century when tulips were famous and considered the new "gold”, ceramic artist originally created these vases to grow tulip bulbs indoors and they were also popular pieces of art to decorate the living rooms of the European elite. Serving for growing tulips as the original purpose, the vase is also suitable for arranging different types of flowers, namely, lilies, hyacinths, or others, in which the aesthetics and creativity of the florists is emboldened.
Simulated the design of ancient European tulip vases, the vase was handcrafted with Bát Tràng ceramics, which made it a unique creation of the Bát Tràng Museum.
