Tunic depicting "Polar Bear Expedition" insignia

This tunic belonged to a member of the American Expeditionary Force, North Russia, sent to Russia as part of an Allied effort to defeat the Bolshevik Red Army. Because of the cold climate, the men referred to themselves as "Polar Bears," hence the insignia on the tunic.
