The Penguin Soviet spacesuit was used on the space stations Saljut, Mir e ISS. Thanks to elastic bands pressing the limbs, it helps the blood’s circulation in a zero gravity environment. During the staying in the space stations the human body suffers from different effects. For instance, astronauts are taller as they come back to the Earth, because their backbone extends. Just few centimetres that can make the seat too short, with the consequence of a very uncomfortable voyage. This spacesuit was used by the American crew “hosted” on the Soviet station MIR, as witnessed by the NASA and MIR emblems and by the American flag.
