"We are all human, but we don’t always act like it. It is atrocious that we would treat each other as less than human. This tears apart humanity. May we come together, listen to each other’s story, empathize, humbly change and ultimately love.
This is a watercolor of torn photos of friends of mine. The ripping of the photos leaves ragged edges. The paper cannot be fixed, but it can be mended- stuck back together. By painting a watercolor of the collage, the composition becomes forever mended on one sheet of paper.
This painting is a prayer that we humans can join together to create a new composition of understanding and love"- Eva Crawford
