The Ambulatory in the Gibberd Garden. Sir Frederick noted, 'the area around the Ambulatory is an exercise in ground shaping. Material excavated from the rebuilding of the house was dumped in the field and I shaped it by hand into two unequal mounds - little hills with a valley between. Two bronze dogs by Robert Clatworthy are placed on one of my hills in such a way that walking around them, they appear to move.' Photograph dated September 1974
