Two Excelentes de la Granada

This coin reflects the monetary unification between the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon since the Royal Pragmatic of June 1497, dictated by the Catholic Kings, Isabel and Fernando, in Medina del Campo. A new currency was established, the ducat, widely accepted by bankers and foreign markets.
