Two Figures. Mother and Child

Among the statements reproduced in Gerardo Diego’s famous anthology Spanish Poetry is one by Moreno Villa, who commented: “Then I held two solo exhibitions and won a prize in Granada (Tourism)”.

The present painting does indeed have a label on the back that reads: “National Tourism Heritage, Regular Art Salon, Casa de los Tiros, Granada, 1930, general inventory number 16”.
