This work has a unique form, featuring two jars joined together, possessing a bulging body and forming abundant curves. It is a piece from the latter period of Kanjirô's pottery-making activities. It features a shape using a mold that he worked with abundantly from the beginning of the Shôwa period, and the vivid shinsha (copper red) covering the container's surface is a glaze that Kanjirô enjoyed using throughout his life. It seems that Kanjirô's attitude toward pottery making, in which he entrusted his works to observers and refused to restrict their senses, is expressed in the bold shape of this container and the vivid coloring demonstrated by the shinsha.
