Two pages from John Keats’s medical notebook

Keats’s only surviving notebook is filled with a scrawl of lecture notes and occasional doodles. Keats spent more years studying medicine than he was ever able to dedicate to poetry. His training at Guy’s Hospital was an intense timetable of lectures, dissection demonstrations, hospital ward rounds and surgery.
