Left wing of a triptych, containing two scenes from the life of St John the Divine, to whom the triptych is dedicated. On the inner side St John is dictating to his pupil Prochoros and on the outer he accepts the benediction of Christ. The central panel portrays the Virgin Enthroned holding the Christ Child. Attributed to the Cretan painter Andreas Ritzos (1421-1492). First half of 15th c. 0.303x0.313 m. Acquired through a contribution of the Friends of the Benaki Museum in memory of Argini Salvagou (ΓΕ 22251)
