In 1874, Monet settled in Argenteuil. There, in the garden of his house, he found inspiration for many paintings such as Two Women among the Flowers where Monet rendered a flower bush fully integrating two female figures – the painter’s wife Camille and her friend. They are fully absorbed by the flood of flowers which fill up the entire canvas. The painter captured the topic in a given moment and of light.
