South Molle Island is the largest of the Molle Island group. At low tide it’s possible to walk to Mid Molle Island along a causeway. South Molle Island had a resort established in 1937 on the north of the island. This was developed to eventually accommodate up to 600 guests before closing due to damage caused by Cyclone Debbie in 2016.
