Real Fossil - Jurassic 150 Mya - Warm Springs Ranch, Thermopolis Wyoming
Once the bones of dinosaurs are completed excavated, they are covered with strips of burlap soaked in wet plaster, creating a hard shell - a jacket - around the bones. The jacket protects the bones while they are removed from the site and taken to the museum. This jacket from the "There You Are" quarry contains bones of an Allosaurus.
