Tyrannosaurus rex is among the largest land-dwelling predators of all times. It makes a spectacular appearance in the movie “Jurassic Park.” Like all predatory dinosaurs, it ran on its hind legs. Recent studies suggest that the animals were not very fast. The short arms end in only two fingers. The largest Tyrannosaurus ever discovered had a skull with a length of 1.5 meters. Its jaws contained 58 teeth with jagged edges. To date, it is not clear whether Tyrannosaurus hunted other dinosaurs such as Triceratops, or if its diet was restricted to carrion.
