"Announcement from the Commission of National Education on the Writing of Elementary Books for Provincial Schools".

The main task of the Society for Elementary Books, established in 1775, was to develop modern textbooks, adapted to the current state of knowledge and the needs of the people of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. To this end, the society published an Announcement... Concerning the Writing of Elementary Books, in which monetary prizes were proposed for the development of seven textbooks. The Layout of Sciences prepared by KEN was also included here, where an outline of the new curriculum was presented along with a list of subjects.
