Uncia uncia, Snow Leopard

Snow Leopards are well adapted to living in mountainous areas, with their thick fur and colouration. They are ambush predators, hunting ungulates such as Himalayan Blue Sheep and Wild Goats. They are threatened by illegal poaching and trade in their body parts.
