"The idea is to engage the viewer in a discussion about borderline issues with high-powered visuals, and non-confrontational icons. The installations highlight the dire needs of the environment when it comes to the issue of the border wall. There is an alarm system going off in the borderlands and everywhere else in the world. Borders are changing the earth’s physical environment in a negative direction. I feel no one can hear it. Maybe if I can show it, reveal it, travel the issue around. The borderline walls reveal the local borderlines that divide and alienate us from one another. And they begin with the local official flower." -Consuelo Jimenez Underwood
