Prussian uniform

The mining operations at the Saar has influenced the people, land and culture of the entire region over many years. This is also how the unique tradition of the miners' suit came about, which was adapted to the working conditions and different events of the miner customs. The uniforms were designed in various forms according to hierarchies and the different officer classes. The miners were to wear their miners' uniform on special occasions. This qualified miners costume is decorated with a hammer and pick on the sleeves which indicates their profession.
