The Unknown City of supermarket series is another work questioning conventional or institutional beliefs. Merchandise at the most communal and ordinary space of a supermarket fascinates customers showing off their bright colors and designs. Though people trust they have purchased merchandise knowing all, they are mostly just attracted. For this series, Hyungmin Moon took photographs of displays full of goods, and redesigned them erasing the texts or repainting over packages. The artist questions the viewers with the transformed images. Is it good enough to believe what you know is what you really know?
